Celebrating a wedding, birthday, anniversary, or even in remembrance of a loved one, set up a gift list for your event and by purchasing these extraordinary gifts make a huge difference to families in the developing world.

How the gift registry works

You need to register your event under the Setup an event section and create a new organiser account and follow the instructions to upload photos and a description of your event. Once you have Setup a gift registry an email will be automatically sent to the Event email address that can then be forwarded to family and friends to purchase gifts from the Gift for Life catalogue using your unique Event URL. All the gifts purchased online will be registered under your name. Only people you give your Event URL to will be able to visit your gift registry

Once you have setup your event your friends and family can select gifts from the gift for life catalogue and when they purchase an item, it will then be posted under your Event page and can be viewed by you and those that you have sent your unique URL too.

What you receive

As Event organiser
For every item purchased for your Event, TEAR Fund will send you either a traditional printed gift card or e-card (electronic card) depending upon what your friends or your family has bought. Each card includes an image and description of your purchase, along with a space for you to record the name of the person you are giving the item to. The amount spent is not shown on the card.

As Event participant
Once you receive the unique Event URL from the Event organiser, for every item you buy, you can either purchase a traditional printed card to send the recipient or an e-card (electronic card).

TEAR Fund New Zealand will also send you a tax-deductible receipt.

Where does your gift ultimately go

TEAR Fund will allocate your donations to the appropriate projects, allowing those specific items to be purchased. Each gift in the catalogue has been carefully selected to meet an essential need in the communities we work amongst, and is part of our wider development work.
